Dr Bryan Mathews is an English and Canadian trained  vitreo-retinal surgeon who has had specialised training in Medical retina, Surgical retina, Uveitis and Ocular Oncology with appointments at Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne.

He has done two fellowships in Vitreo-Retina including the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital and Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, UK.

He is both a FRANZCO fellowship and  British FRCOphth fellowship,

 He has had extensive list of publications and presentations principally in Retina.
