We are a modern ophthalmic practice  and have been providing the communities in the South East suburbs with specialist eye care for  over 20 years.

Berwick Surgicentre

Berwick Surgicentre is an accredited Day Surgery serving the needs of the Berwick and its surrounding suburbs. It is contracted with all health funds , operates Saturdays and has  provided modern , safe ophthalmic surgery for over 13 years

Our Services

We provide a comprehensive range of services and specialties from cataract surgery to paediatric, squint, glaucoma, ocular immunology, medical and surgical retina and neuro-ophthalmology by subspecialists recognised in their field.

Our dedicated staff are highly  trained to provide you with the  best care possible. We also pride ourselves in educating you fully in your medical condition to allow you to participate in your own care. We welcome your support persons and interpreters as required

Australian Council of Health Care Standards

Berwick Eye and Surgicentre maintains standards and safety through an accreditation process involving membership of  the Australian Council of Health Care Standards.

 

Berwick Eye and Surgicentre was resurveyed  in December 2012  and given the maximum of 3 years accreditation with ACHS

 

ACHS members have a commitment to patient care and service delivery and recognise the need for continuing quality improvement. ACHS members come from across Australia and from across the world - we work with organisations in Hong Kong, the Middle East, India and New Zealand. Our member organisations are from across the healthcare spectrum:

 

Designated Customer Services Managers provide focused guidance and support throughout the various phases of accreditation and in preparation for surveys.

ACHS surveyor teams monitor performance and are trained to provide consultation and support to member organisations during the self-assessment and pre-survey process.

The Organisation-Wide Survey is an on-site review that ensures that the organisation is providing quality and safe care and service and determines accreditation status.

 

The Periodic Review is an on-site review that seeks to assist in maintaining the momentum for continuous improvement between Organisation-Wide Surveys (OWS) and confirms that the organisation continues to provide quality and safe care and service.
